This board started life as a stack of Oak bleacher seats from an old school gym, probably installed in the 1930’s or 40’s? When the school closed, a local woman rescued the seats, and I turned some of them into this gorgeous 1.5" thick end-grain cutting board. It even still has a couple places where I left the original screw marks from their life as bleachers! The end-grain on this is really lovely. Scroll through the pics and check out the white rays going through the grain. This is the unique signature of White Oak! The board measures 17.5" x 13" x 1.5".
